About Captain Joe CetnerJoe Cetner grew up on the water. Originally from the Chain-O-Lakes region in Illinois, he relocated to southwest Florida in 1990 to pursue a career in the maritime industry. After acquiring enough sea time in various ship yards he became a 100 ton master captain and eventually a commercial tug operator.After purchasing his beloved "CONCH RAIDER", (a Bayfield 32 cutter), he cut his land ties and moved aboard. What followed was a single handed journey across the Bahamas and the Caribbean. His passion for the cruising life led him to teaching. He became an ASA instructor enabling him to guide future sailors in the cruising life style with his unique approach. He is presently affiliated with several top sailing schools, teaching and chartering from south west Florida, the Keys and the Bahamas. He has delivered boats as far north as New York City. |
